Peter D Snape  B.Eng  MACS  Owner / Manager of Bent Tree Systems

Most recently, Peter has worked as a Software Engineer and Programmer however

Peter has been active in the computer industry since 1975.  Originally an Electronics Engineer, Peter was given training in computers by ICL for whom he worked as a Customer Engineer, maintaining and repainting mainframe computers and peripherals.

After leaving ICL, Peter worked as a design engineer, developing early microcomputers, intelligent test equipment, and designing equipment for the seismic and mineral exploration industry. Designing wireline logging probes, and computer and analogue recording equipment.

Later, Peter moved to work with Queensland Railways, designing Traction Fault Locating equipment, SCADA* systems, and developing dozens of software applications. 
 

*SCADA - Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition systems are large distributed computer systems that are used to remotely control plant and equipment in industry. such systems are used to control large electrical networks and automated machinery.
