Filing Clerk has been compressed into a single ZIP file of about 2.4 Mbytes

The Trial copy of Filing Clerk requires either a Full copy or a Run-time copy of Microsoft Access to be installed on your PC.

If you wish to trial a copy of Filing Clerk and you don’t have a copy of Microsoft Access, we can supply a CD-ROM trial version with a runtime copy of MS Access for A$5 to cover postage and handling.  Please send an e-mail with your request and a mailing address to sales@benttree.com.au

Download Instructions

1. You must perform these steps as an Administrator
2. Download the ZIP file onto your PC
3. Extract the contents of the ZIP into a temporary folder.
4. Locate the default.html file and open it.
5. This will expand Filing Clerk and install it into the appropriate folders, and create a shortcut on your desktop and another in the Start Menu
6. Optionally the back-end database file (Filing Clerk_BE.mdb) and the vault database file (Filing Clerk Vault.mdb) can be located on a remote (network) folder (both must be installed in the same folder). Note however, that the Trial Version will allow only one user to connect to the back-end, so there isn’t much advantage in putting these files on a network.
7. Once loaded into the correct locations, execute Filing Clerk from the desktop or from the start menu.  When run for the first time, Filing Clerk will adjust its setup, by identifying or asking you to identify, where the back-end files are kept, which e-mail application you use and which application to use for scanning documents.
8. Filing Clerk has an extensive help document, just press the F1 key (or press the Help button on the command bar).

This trial copy of Filing Clerk will operate for one month only, and then refuse new entries.
The trial copy is limited to working stand-alone, and will only work with the MS-Access back-end.
